Initial feedback
Over the past couple of weeks I have presented about our new strategic framework and the organisational design and governance structure review to staff and trustees from 8 different Centres. I am always so interested to hear about the range of views and ideas that people have about the review.
Some staff identified that a different governance structure might reduce some of the geographical isolation they feel, others have said it would help with some of the difficulties of getting enough good trustees that Centres experience. Yesterday the review was described as 'the most exciting thing that Brook has done organisationally over the past fifteen years or so' The same person also pointed out that as with many exciting things there would be challenges and that staff working in all different parts of the organisation need to get involved and give their view so it can go into the mix.
In two weeks time I am travelling up to Inverness in the Highlands of Scotland. It will be interesting to hear the views of staff and trustees about the review and whether there are any issues we should consider in the review to ensure they feel connected and a real part of the Brook family despite the geographical separateness.
Other things on the go;
Egg research will be undertaking a series of interviews with commissioners and Network trustees over the next few weeks.
The first 'Open Space' meeting takes place on Friday 24th April in London - this is for staff, trustees and stakeholders including young people - email if you want to attend.
